Mum's Day + Wesak Day

I should have posted this post quite long already..Pictures all uploaded a few days ago but haven't type in anything..No mood for blogging after the previous post..

Anyway, for Mum's Day, Ah Jie got a Mother's Day card and I got a bouquet of flowers for our beloved Ah Mi..It was quite rushing lo..I finished my last paper on the 8th and got home the same day..Mum's Day was on the 10th but we celebrated on the 9th since Ah Jie came back from Sg. and she needed to go back on Sunday..Then I just decided to go Sg. on the 10th..Flowers that I've ordered and helped Yuzi to order also were supposed to arrive at our respective houses on the 10th..Since I'll be going Sg. on the 10th at 7.30am and I couldn't see Ah Mi's happy face ( I assume la..haha.. :) Which really she was with all smiles lo.. ), I decided to ask Uncle Patrick ( Ah Pa's friend who owns a flower shop ) to send the flowers on the 9th before we go out for Mum's Day celebration at Enliven Restaurant..

This is the 2nd year that I've missed out the Wesak Day procession due to my finals..This year I managed to come back ( compared to last year which I was stuck in UKM still.. ) but I didn't managed to join either..I was too worn out for not having enough sleep the day before and with all the shifting from UKM to Malacca, I couldn't even wake up from my bed..To tell the truth, ever since I entered UKM, I rarely step into Seck Kia Eenh temple anymore..Compared to last time where I went every week for Sunday service, taught the children Dhamma Class and sometimes used the library to study..So ya, I often went there..A week a few times because it's quite near my house..But now I only went there once a year, for Wesak Day! And seriously I feel so weird..A place where I feel so familiar and close suddenly it's so foreign already.. =.= I could hardly find the time to go there..Coming back for just 2-3 days makes me wanna stay at home all the time minus outing with friends..It's just a reason that I could find.. :@

CNY Part 2

I know, I know..This CNY post should be like last month's story..But I finally got these pictures as my memory card has encountered some problems..I'm still very excited about this year's CNY..Don't know why..Probably I finally snap some pictures compared to none in the previous years..Ya, none in my entire family who likes to take pictures as crazy as me..But hey, it's fun..Let's enjoy the pictures..

FAMILY GATHERING AT MY HOUSE

Every year, Ah Mi's siblings would come to our house for CNY family gathering. We don't really have open house but because it's a very special family affair, it's like a very huge family gathering and we're very delighted to be the host every year. Ah Mi has 5 siblings..

1) Tai Wu+ Tai Kau Mo=Ah Wai Chia Chia (+ Husband = Joey + Boy )+ Ah Mun Kor Kor (+ Wife)

2)Ah Meng Ah Wu + Kau Mo= (Ah Loong, Ah Theng, Ah Yoong, Ching2)

3)Tuck Hung Kau Fu + Kau Mo = (Ah Yan, Ah Sia, Ah Hon )

4)Kau Fu Chai ( + Kau Mo = Jian Xin + Jian Xen )

5)Mimi + Ah Cheong= (Ah Tung Kor Kor + Wife = Yau2, Ah Yee)+ (Ah Leong Kor Kor + Wife = Lek2,Girl), Ah Kit Kor Kor, (Ah Kuen Chia Chia + Husband=Boy)

So,you can imagine how packed is my house every year!! But it's fun..the more the merrier..As some of them I will only see them once a year or maybe more if there's gatherings etc..This CNY is a time for some family bonding.. :)

The Modern Faces in Olden Bodies

Oooppsss..I totally forgot about cute pictures..I kept thinking of posting it with the CNY post but eventually, I totally forgot about it because the pictures were saved in different folder..Just got reminded by PC who see it using SL's handphone and she was like 'Huh, you all went without me.......'

SL and I went Sg. Wang and Times Square on that Sunday, one day before semester 2 opens..Went hunting for CNY clothes and they were really cheap and we shopped with much anticipation and dying of buying more..Due to budget, we limit our shopping. So, I bought 3 tops, a shoe, a bag, a belt and all these cost no more than Rm100..Yippeee..Darn cheap!

And so, we went Times Square and saw the decorations were kinda nice and there's something cute that attract us..I don't know what is it call but it's something that you need to put in your face into the hole and that body is of a cartoon/person..This one at Times Square was of a happy family from the olden days-'ku toi yan', like those that we have seen in the Chinese Hong Kong drama..There were only SL and I and we have to ask other shoppers to help us snap a few pictures..And it's so CUTE!

CNY party..

This very year, SL and I were the host for CNY party..It's like a pot luck party (Everyone brought their own cookies and CNY delicacies..Even Kak Dilah and Shida brought something-yummy tomyam fried rice..) and it's totally a gal affair only..Sorry guys didn't include you all as place and time constraint..So, to add up the CNY mood in our room, we decided to open some CNY songs ( I must admit I'm not a 'dong dong dong chang' fan..It gave me a feeling of hiccup..But anyway, I've listened it till the end..I didn't know how i did that..lol )..So all our buddies turned up-Pei Yun, Peik Hwa, Kak Dilah, Shida, Pei Chen, Siu Li and ME..Chantana joined us at the very end..We ate till our stomach felt so much satisfaction like when we were back at home filling our stomach non-stop..lol..

Our poor bed became the 'dining tables' pula..And of course it was left with pieces of food..And also a room full of oranges' skins, seeds, wrappers, etc..However, it did not bother us to enjoy this CNY party..EAT, EAT and EAT!!

After this party was over, we had a mission..A mission that we call THE TOP SECRET : SNOOPY..Hmm..we managed to complete it but our boss was not there to enjoy our success..So, it's a lil' 'so heng'~
